Our
History

In 2004, the Fenton Area Public Schools created the Fenton Education Foundation to assist in developing and enriching the overall educational experience of our youth. The foundation exists for the purpose of supporting and fostering strong academic programs, comprehensive athletic programs, and vibrant art programs within our schools. It has allowed us as a community to privately enhance a public school system that will make our community and the Fenton Area Public Schools recognized amongst the top in the state.

The Foundation further advances the educational mission of the Fenton School District by obtaining contributions through philanthropic and volunteer support.

The FEF is a qualified 501(c)(3) organization. Our Tax ID (EIN) is 20-2743747.

Our Initiatives

Aiming Higher (Academics)

Since its inception in 2004, the Fenton Education Foundation has made a strong commitment to providing its students with an outstanding educational experience. For the past six years, Fenton Schools have consistently raised the bar and expanded their programs to give children in this community the tools necessary to compete in a global economy.

A Pathway to Leadership (Athletics)

Sports provide children and youth with many opportunities to grow physically, socially and emotionally. Studies show that children who participate in organized sports are more likely to be active, hardworking students, and better future workers. Kids who play sports also learn how to achieve balance between their schoolwork and athletics, which fosters a strong work ethic both on and off the court.
The Foundation's goal is to build the Athletic endowment to permanently remove pay to play and give as many children as possible the chance to participate in and enjoy athletics.

The Foundation of Culture (Arts)

The Arts engage students and are essential to an understanding of personal identity, community contexts and global cultures. Through arts education, students develop commitment and persistence. They also acquire the skills and exercise the creativity necessary for success in today's world.

Our goal is to build a sustainable Arts endowment, giving as many children as possible the opportunity to benefit and take pleasure in the Arts.

Our Board of Directors

The members of our board of directors are thought leaders who have made a significant contribution to our society. Each and every one of them brings a unique set of skills and expertise to our organization.
